We love the location, it's centrally located and away from the tourist area. BUT, the bathrooms in our room where not clean and the furniture was full of dust. For being a Hilton chain, I believe this needs to be improved. They have free parking which is a plus in the Miami area. The reception area needs to be consistent with service (we were not offered free water) and we were not ask if we were part of the Hilton Honors program. (other hotels, always ask this when we check in).

Front desk reception was professional and friendly. Room on 4th floor was very quiet (at the far end), clean, bright and comfortable. Visiting University of Miami and would stay here again. Breakfast had many choices and everything was kept stocked and fresh. The coffee is a bit strong for my taste, but otherwise a comfortable stay and I would recommend.

Someone had spit in the sink, room was not cleaned -- an automatic sign

The overall stay was average, but there were two experiences that were absolutely TERRIBLE. The worst -- we checked into two rooms and my hotel room had not been cleaned properly. Someone had spit in my sink and it had not been washed. There was also some garbage on the floor, under the bed. But the worst by far was the spittle in the sink. I went down to the front desk and they eventually sent a maintenance worker who washed the sink. But there was no accommodation and that was a catastrophic failure. The other problem was more basic. There was little to no parking at the hotel for guests. It seems the hotel offers its parking lots to local maintenance crews. So the back area is full of utility vans at night, and the front area included a small bus and a large truck. It seems you should not be offering parking to other commercial entities until you are certain your guests have parking. So, overall, I would not stay here again and I would recommend others avoid this hotel as well.

Stayed at the HI in Dec of 2023 for one night. IMO the usual standard of service expected at a HI was met. Pros 1. Friendly and helpful staff 2. Location - close (walking distance to a metro station) and Dadeland Mall as well as a Target right across the road 3. The coffee station - my favourite aspect of a Hampton Inn has to be the 24hr coffee station Cons 1. The most expensive HI I have stayed in of the four I have ever booked (could be the overall hotel market) 2. The area becomes a bit lonely/seedy at night 3. Hotel is a bit dated

My daughter and I were at Hampton Inn Miami from Dec. 14 to Dec. 18, 2023. While waiting to be checked in, we observed how the male, white receptionist treated the two white families in front of us. He was so cordial and receptive to them. He even offered them water. So, when it was our turn...the receptionist was very cold and when he was finished with us, I asked him nicely" where is our water?" He then grudgingly gave us two small bottles of water, mine you, he offered several large bottles of water to the previous family. So, in conclusion...We did not feet welcomed there, and we will not return to your establishment. the receptionist was prejudice.
